Wet Scrubber
The I.I.O.E.C range of wet scrubbers caters for many varied applications.
The basic principle of operation with this type of equipment is the capture of dust particles in gas streams by liquid droplets of a sufficiently small size. These droplets should be small enough to readily collide with the particles & this is basically achieved by two means.
(Dynamic Scrubber)
1. Impacting a counterflow of liquid with the unscrubbed particle laden gases, thereby creating turbulence & atomisation of the liquid.
2. Production of droplets by means of a spray nozzle against a head of liquid.
(Pack Towers Scrubber)
Both of these methods are applied in the I.I.O.E.C range, their selection being a function of the system design & final emission requirements.
(Vane Scrubber)
Materials of construction range from glass reinforced plastic to various nickel alloys depending on the materials being handled.
(Venturi Scrubber)
We offer a range of scrubbers which are capable of obtaining scrubbing efficiences which meet with todays stringent pollution control laws for emission to atmosphere.
We offer three types which overlap for the various applications for which they are used. They fall into three categories: low, medium & high pressure & are selected on particulate size contained in the gases. They are in order of energy requirements & efficiency:
SCRUBBER
VANE SCRUBBERS
Operating between 100mm to 250mm W.G. on particles above 4 microns.
DYNAMIC SCRUBBERS
Operating between 100mm to 400mm W.G. on particles down to 2 microns.
VENTURI SCRUBBERS
Operating between 200mm to 1000mm W.G. on fine & sub micron particles.
PACK TOWER SCRUBBERS
Operating at low pressures to control gaseous emissions.
